July 22nd Weekly Inspiration

Hello everyone! Today's card has been made using Our Daily Bread Designs You Bless Me Stamp Set, one of the newly released items for July.

I stamped the image in Memento Inks (Rhubard Stalk for the flower and Bamboo Leaves for the leaves) and the neat embossed with Extra Fine Embossing Powder before coloring the flowers with Spectrum Noir.

I also used ODBD Ornate Ovals, ODBD Beautiful Borders, ODBD Double Stitched Rectangles, and the largest frame from ODBD Majestic Medallion.  The background paper is from the ODBD Shabby Rose Collection.  I also used white card stock and Bazzill's Diamond card stock.

I stamped the image in Memento Cantalope and Bamboo Stalk inks (Cantalope for the flowers and Bamboo for the leaves) and heat embossed with Extra Fine Embossing Powder. I colored the image with Spectrum Noir.

The paper is from the ODBD Shabby Rose Collection and I used white card stock as well. I distressed the oval with the Bamboo Stalk ink.

July 8th Weekly Inspiration- Sweet As Perfume

Hello everyone!
Today's card was made using a sentiment from Our Daily Bread Designs Sweet As Perfume Stamp Set. I wanted this scripture from Corinthians to be the focus so I used ODBD Bitty Blossoms Dies to make little flowers for the side.

I also used ODBD Layered Lacey Ovals and the ODBD Foliage and Leaves Die. The flowers were cut on white card stock and then I brushed them with a Clear Spectrum Sparkle.  The background paper is from ODBD Christian Faith Collection. The ovals were all die cut in white and I used Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers to color the largest one to coordinate with the blue paper.

I then added some pearls and a little satin ribbon to embellish.

Our Daily Bread Designs A True Friend

Hello everyone!

Today's card was made using one of the new stamp sets from Our Daily Bread Designs
called A True Friend.

I stamped the image in Memento Ink (Dandelion) and colored it up with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers. I then heat embossed with Extra Fine Embossing Powder.

I used ODBD Circles and ODBD Double Stitched Circles to mat the Iris.  For the detailed white layer under the circles I wanted to use one of the frames from ODBD Vintage Borders (it is the second largest one of the set.)  I love all of the little cutouts in this one so I cut two of this same size and used both for the layer under the circles. I then used the largest frame in the same set (cut in yellow).

For the sentiment circle I used ODBD Double Stitched Circles and the ODBD Circles Die. I then used the ODBD Pretty Posies dies to layer it. I love how all of the little edges of the flower poke out to look like a scalloped edge.  On the top and bottom of the card I used the ODBD Bitty Borders.

The yellow and green papers are from ODBD Birthday Brights Collection.  I then added a little ribbon, bling, and a couple die cuts of the smaller ODBD Pretty Posies to make a flower on the sentiment circle.

This first card was created using the new ODBD Sweet As Perfume stamp set and the new ODBD Layered Lacey Ovals Die set.  And I must say this die is gorgeous!!! There are five different layers and each one is so detailed and pretty.

I also used ODBD Double Stitched Rectangles, the largest frame from the ODBD Majestic Medallion Die Set, and the ODBD Foliage and Leaves Die. The lavender papers are from the ODBD Pastel Paper Pack.

I inked up the flower stamp with several colors of Memento inks (Cantaloupe for the flowers, Pear Tart for the leaves and Rhubarb for the flower center) and then stamped on white card stock.  I heat embossed with Extra Fine Embossing Powder in Clear.

These flowers are called Frangipani and are so pretty, I liked the Tropical Pink one the best so chose it as my model for coloring.  It is mostly white with hints of color.  I experimented with ink colors (about 7 different color combinations....) to try to find the ones I thought would show off the flower's colors.  I then used Spectrum Noir to color up the flowers.

I created this second card using the new ODBD You Bless Me Stamp Set and the new ODBD Vintage Borders Die Set.  The layer with the Gladiolus on it was die cut using the ODBD Vintage Flourish Pattern Die (it coordinates perfectly!)  The sentiment was cut using the ODBD Lavish Layers Die Set.  The papers are from the ODBD Christmas 2015 Collection.

I inked up the stamp with two colors and stamped at the same time using Memento (Rhubarb and Bamboo) and then heat embossed with Extra Fine Embossing Powder. I colored the image using Spectrum Noir.
